Lowcountry Hunting Plantation
This complete renovation of a 1920's plantation used as a hunting lodge is as welcoming as it is classic. It was vital to update the home so as to make it relevant within the 21st century. Preserving the historic qualities of the home was very important for the success of the project. This sentimentality helped drive the inspiration, and provided a subtle update to items within the home that were completely salvageable. Reprinting the existing wallpaper and repurposing existing antique rugs were some of the things that helped keep the spaces familiar while embellishing the prevailing charm. Dark stained wood contrasts with the airy traditional floral patterned fabrics to create a hunting lodge that is both traditional and comfortable.
